Kairi

Kairi is Sora and Riku's best friend. Originally raised in Radient Garden, she was sent to the Destiny Islands as a young girl by Xehanort. She has red hair, blue eyes (like Sora), light skin, and a general confident personality. In Kingdom Hearts II, she seems to have a greater will and confidence than in the first game. In the first game, she wears a light-pink skirt with a white and purple tank top, a black collar, and gold armbands in the first game. Her shoes are similar to slippers or sandals. In the second game, she wears clothing similar to Namine's under a leather pink one-piece, with a black pocket on one side. She has a black wristband on one wrist, a necklace, and shoes that have laces going up the leg. Her school attire consists of a white, sleeveless, collared, button-up shirt with a blue plaid tie, a matching blue plaid skirt, and blue shoes over blue knee socks.
Kairi worked with Riku and Sora to build the raft to leave Destiny Islands at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
- While the real Kairi doesn't appear, memories of Kairi play an important role in the story.
- In Sora's story: Naminé begins to overwrite Sora's memories of Kairi with memories of herself.
- In Riku's story: Zexion takes the form of Sora and begins to drown Riku in light. While this occurs, Naminé takes the form of Kairi and tells Riku to not be afraid of the darkness in his heart.
