Mickey
From KHUWiki
King Mickey Mouse, referred to as "King Mickey", "Your Majesty", or "The King" by Sora and others, is the king of Disney Castle. He is a short, squeaky-voiced individual with big round ears. King Mickey is a Keyblade weilder, having used one since Terra, Aqua, and Ven's time during Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. King Mickey is the one who ordered Donald Duck and Goofy to search for someone with a "key" to their survival.
During the events that unfold in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, King Mickey is shown as Yen Sid's apprentice, much like his role in "Fantasia". It is during this time that he is seen with the Starseeker Keyblade. In the Final Mix + secret ending, Mickey is seen wearing an all-black version of this Kingdom Hearts II attire. It is unknown if King Mickey yet has his "King" status during Birth by Sleep.
King Mickey has been seen with two seperate keyblades: A Starseeker, (like the one that Sora gets with Valor Form) during the Birth by Sleep teaser, and a version of the Kingdom Key (also similar to Sora's) with inverted colors. The inverted colours represent the origin of Mickey's blade, which came from the realm of darkness, as opposed to Sora's keyblade, which is a keyblade obtained from the realm of light. This is the first proof that the wielder of the keyblade is the one who determines its nature; darkness or light, the keyblade can still be used for the good of all.

King Mickey's Letter
King Mickey left a letter with instructions for Donald. It goes as follows:
| Donald,
Sorry to rush off without sayin' goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin'. Not sure why, but the stars have been blinkin' out, one by one. And that means disaster can't be far behind. I hate to leave you all but I've gotta go check into it. There's someone with a "key"-- the key to our survival. So I need you and Goofy to find him, and stick with him. Got it? We need that key or we're doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He'll point you in the right direction. P.S. Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks pal. |
And thus, he ventures out to face the "growing darkness".
