Template:Infobox Sora is, in Kingdom Hearts, a 14-year-old with a strong sense of justice. He has light skin, brown hair, blue eyes, and he bears a resemblance to Mickey Mouse in that he has oversized yellow shoes, white gloves, and red outfit that covers from his knees to his shoulders. He also has a black and white hoodie over the red suit, and on his left pant leg is a chain with crowns for links. In Kingdom Hearts II, Sora (now 15) is a few inches taller with a lighter gold-ish hair coloring. After visiting the three Fairy Godmothers, Sora obtains magical clothing (which is almost completely black, with many belts from head to toe, metal shoulderpads and knuckle-armor, and red pouches fastened to his pant legs) that has a property that allows him to use a Drive Form by fusing with (a) friend(s). Ever since Kingdom Hearts, Sora bears a silver chain necklace with a silver three-point crown on it. This crown necklace is retained in his new outfit, and the crown has become something akin to Sora's logo or symbol, as this crown appears whenever Sora locks a Keyhole.
Summary
Sora is the main character of the Kingdom Hearts series. He is the character you directly control for almost the entire Kingdom Hearts storyline.
Kingdom Hearts begins with Sora experiencing a "Dive to the Heart", which is just that, a spritual dive into ones heart. (In Kingdom Hearts, human Hearts function much like human Souls, although Souls also exist separate from hearts in the Kingdom Hearts universe.) During this Dive to the Heart, Sora encounters beings of darkness that he must fight with his weapon of choice. After being swallowed by darkness and being told "You are the one who will open the door", he awakes on his island, dismissing the Dive to the Heart as a dream.
Sora (14 years old) grew up on an archipelago known as the Destiny Islands. It is assumed that he has lived there his whole life. When Sora and his best friend, Riku (15 years old), were little, a girl who grew up in Hallow Bastion (now "Radiant Garden") was sent to the Destiny Islands. Her name was Kairi (14 years old). Since her arrival, the three have been very close friends.
One day, Sora began work on a raft with Riku and Kairi. With this raft, the three planned to venture to other worlds besides their own. For the next few days, they focused on getting provisions, raft supplies, and other items for their journey.
Then, one night, as Sora is thinking of his friends, a large dark mass is seen floating over the island from Sora's bedroom window. Sora heads for the small island where the mass is located, worried for the raft they had constructed. When he arrives on the island, he sees Riku's and Kairi's boats already docked there, and as Sora jumps onto the island to search for them, beings of darkness appear and attack him. Sora cannot fight them, so he runs off to find his friends. Riku is found on a plateau on the island. He turns around and offers a hand to Sora, telling him of the power of darkness. Sora tries to save his friend from the darkness (which is now surrounding Riku), and just as the darkness is about to swallow Sora as well, the Keyblade appears and beats back the dark. With the Keyblade, Sora quickly learns that the Heartless are destroyed by it, and he uses it to fight his way to a small cave in the center of the island, where Kairi is found gazing at a mysterious door. As Sora approaches, Kairi turns, and after calling "Sora" in a mourning tone, she flies at Sora and, like a ghost, disappears as she reaches him. Sora is then blown out of the cave by a dark wind.
When Sora regains consciousness, he finds himself on the beach once again; only this time, the rest of the island is gone. The Dark mass floating above the plateau eventually releases a giant Heartless (first seen in a "Dive to the Heart"), known as "Darkside". Sora fights and defeats the Darkside, but in the end, he is sucked into the darkness along with all of Destiny Islands.
Soon after, Sora is awoken by Mickey's dog, Pluto, in Traverse Town, a world that is home to hundreds of others who've lost their world to darkness. After Pluto runs off, Sora meets Cid, the worker at a local shop. He tells Sora that he'll look out for him while he is in Traverse Town. Sora goes off into the town's other districts (there are three in total) in search of Riku and Kairi.
At the same time, Donald and Goofy arrive in Traverse Town. As Goofy looks up at the starry sky, he sees a star blinking out, which is really Destiny Islands being swallowed by darkness. He, Donald and Pluto head out in search of a man named Leon, as well as the one with the "key", under King Mickey's order.
Sora eventually comes back to where he started in Cid's shop, unable to locate his friends. After briefly talking with Cid, Sora leaves the shop and is confronted by a mysterious man with a Gunblade. After fighting with Sora, Sora collapses from exhaustion and is brought to the hotel in Traverse Town's Second District.
When Sora regains consciousness, he hallucinates talking with Kairi. When Sora addresses her as "Kairi", she reveals that she is actually "the great ninja" Yuffie. With Yuffie is Leon, the man with the Gunblade. Yuffie and Leon begin to explain what the Heartless and Keyblade are.
In a hotel room next to Sora's, Donald and Goofy speak to Aerith, Leon and Yuffie's friend. She is also informing them on the heartless and keyblade.
Suddenly, heartless begin attacking, and Leon, Sora, Donald and Goofy go off to fight them. Sora enters the Third District in hopes of finding the leader of the Heartless in the area. At the same time, Donald and Goofy, who are in the same district, fend off heartless before being blasted off the balcony they were on. The two land on Sora and identify him as the one with the "key".
Soon after, the Guard Armor heartless appears and fights Sora, Donald and Goofy. Sora eventually kills it with the Keyblade and, after talking with Leon, Yuffie and Aerith, he decides to travel with Donald and Goofy in search of the king in hopes that he will find his friends along the way.

Whilst on Destiny Island, Terra watches the 4 year old Sora and the 5 year old Riku play with toy swords. Suffice to say, Sora's appearance might be considered a cameo?
