Summary

Twilight Town is the world that you start in in Kingdom Hearts II. In this world, you start as a new character, oddly reminiscent of another spiky haired hero, named Roxas. In this town it is always twilight, and is characterized by the giant clock tower at the main town train station. Everything has a red-gold glow, reflecting off of the eternally setting (or rising) sun.

Twilight Town is home to four friends, Roxas, Hayner, Pence, and Olette. In Kingdom Hearts II, Roxas lives out the rest of his summer vacation with his three friends: Hayner, a hot-headed and outspoken individual; Pence, a brainy, laid-back soul; and Olette, the sensible one of the group.

In this town, there is a group of kids known as the Twilight Town Disiplinary Committee. Its members consist of the arrogant Seifer, the quiet Fuu, and the strong but stupid Rai (all younger versions of Final Fantasy VIII characters). This committee is always found at the sandlot, and is always bullying Hayner and his friends.

Twilight Town essentially consists of two halves: The Town and the Mansion. The Town, also the larger part, is where a lot of Twilight-Town based events occur, such as the Struggle Tournament (an annual swordfighting tournament in the town). The Mansion, on the other hand, is the center of many mysterious and Storyline-based events occur, such as Roxas's fight with the Nobodies, and Roxas's discussion with Namine, a memory-controlling witch.

In the depths of the mansion, there is a laboratory, in which is the white room that Sora's sleeping pod is located (Sora slept in it for a full year while recovering from his memory loss at Castle Oblivion). This lab also holds a computer that controls a virtual Twilight Town, in which Roxas was imprisoned at the start of KHII. In this Virtual Twilight Town, there is a black warphole that leads to Betwixt and Between, an in-between space that is linked to The World That Never Was.
